Ganpati Aarti — Tu Sukhkarta Tu Dukhharta
Tu Sukhkarta Tu Dukhharta (Morya) is an extremely popular Ganpati aarti — sung with the "Ganpati Bappa Morya" chant in public Ganeshotsav mandals and households alike.
Mantra & aarti
Composer: Composer unknown — a traditional aarti.
When to sing it: The daily Ganpati aarti, during Ganeshotsav/Ganesh Chaturthi, Sankashti Chaturthi, and public mandal aarti processions.
Meaning (brief): You are the giver of happiness and the remover of sorrow, the destroyer of obstacles, O Morya — I have come to you seeking refuge in distress. You are Mangalmurti, the leader of the ganas, Vakratund and Siddhivinayak; I have come to your door to steady my mind on you. You are everyone's giver of fortune and the remover of obstacles — so light the lamp of knowledge and dispel our despair. You alone are mother, father, and everything.
The words and tune can vary slightly by household or sect. This text follows a traditional household Aarti Sangrah booklet.
