When to sing it: Sung during Vitthal darshan and the daily aarti at Pandharpur, and during Ashadhi-Kartiki Ekadashi and the wari, often alongside Namdev's "Yuge Atthavis" aarti.
Meaning (brief): The devotee calls out to Vitthal as a mother, pleading, "Come, O Vitthal, my mother, come," waiting with a hand on the brow. Whoever comes and goes, he sends word through them — for his true parent lives in Pandharpur. He pictures the Lord's yellow silk garment shining in the sky as the Lord — his protector — arrives mounted on Garuda. Vithoba's reign is an everyday Diwali; Vishnudas Nama waves the lamp with his whole heart. Whether or not true devotion is there, he asks the King of Pandhari to look upon him with a merciful glance.
