Meaning (brief): The devotee calls out to Vitthal as a mother, pleading, "Come, O Vitthal, my mother, come," waiting with a hand on the brow. Whoever comes and goes, he sends word through them — for his true parent lives in Pandharpur. He pictures the Lord's yellow silk garment shining in the sky as he arrives mounted on Garuda, his protector. Vithoba's reign is an everyday Diwali; Vishnudas Nama waves the lamp with his whole heart. Whether or not true devotion is there, he asks the King of Pandhari to look upon him with a merciful glance.
